Job Description
We are looking for a Chief Accountant with solid experience in financial reporting according to IFRS and Local GAAP, who will directly manage and implement financial-accounting and tax activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
Main responsibilities:
Organizing the accounting activity at the company level, by establishing specific work procedures to ensure accounting records on both, Local GAAP and IFRS
Ensuring the chronological and systematic recording in accounting of all patrimonial operations
Ensuring the quantitative and value record of the company’s assets and their inventory (Local GAAP and IFRS)
Ensuring the correct preparation of supporting documents regarding accounting operations
Performing monthly and annual accounting closings according to IFRS and Local GAAP in compliance with the reporting deadlines
Preparing of the trial balance, the general ledgers and the movements of accounts according IFRS and Local GAAP
Preparing and validates financial statements and reports for management and authorities
Computing of the corporate income tax
Preparing, signing and registering with the competent authorities the company’s balance sheet and the tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax etc.) / reports required by law
Preparing the annual audited (financial statements and notes) for both, IFRS and Local GAAP
Actively supporting the relationship with auditors and tax authorities
Processing the transactions on the bank statements, proof of payment, and preparation of any other documents related to bank formalities
Exercising preventive control regarding the legality of the operations carried out and ensures the control of the accounting records made
Representing the company at meetings that mainly focus on accounting aspects
Supporting the hierarchical superior by providing the necessary information, reports, and economic and financial analyses for both, IFRS and Local GAAP.
Actively participating in the optimization of accounting and tax processes and in internal projects.
Training the designated back up personnel to perform the duties in his/her absence.
